Costume analysis - Red Riding Hood

 As our music video is based around a young girl who feels trapped as her family are trying to make her the perfect child, which is why we symbolised this by dressing Anna (the protagonist) up like a puppet, who is then controlled by her mother. The girl as a result of being trapped takes drugs which then takes her to 'wonderland'. Our ideas for what the Wonderland would look like was to be in a woods where fairytale characters appear, however they are evil characters and are against Anna. In our music video i play Red Riding Hood as her name appears in the lyric 'I'm not Red Riding Hood, but i think the Wolves have got me', the Wolves are going to be symbolised as the drugs that have almost taken over.

We found this red coat with a hood which we thought would be ideal for my part as it very much looks like the cloak Red Riding Hood wears. I will also be using make-up for my character, applying dark make-up to my eyes with red lips to symbolises the danger.
